If you’ve been around the gCommunity for any length of time, you’ve for certain been witness to the beautiful family photos shared by gMum, Makenzie. When we pulled together a year-end slideshow of the gBabies who had been posted to our facebook page in 2011, it was hard to not be wowed by the story of Makenzie and her family, as told through the photos she chose to share. We asked her to pick just a handful of her favorites that we could post here on the bloggidy blog. No easy feat, for sure. Thank you to Makenzie and her family for allowing us a peek into her world. Because though we’re all on the same planet, we all have different worlds. And they are all worth celebrating.

Hipcooks had us down for a “team-building event”. The truth is, this team was built by an exhaustive and thorough hiring process, to find the people that have that spot-on mix of crazy rad talent, quirk and ability to adapt and innovate. BUT! as we’ve learned in the past with such endeavors as bouncing on trampolines, dressing up as the griswolds, choreographing a dance routine and cleaning up bicycles, a “team-building event” can be simply re-defined as “bringing back the sticky to our glue”. Or something like that. Working title.

We’re big big BIG fans of social media. It’s amazing to us how it brings people together who may otherwise have never met. But also, it unveils a world of inspiration through the photos and stories that are shared by you. Jan Scurfield, owner of Sacred Images Photography, posted this beautiful photo the other day on the gDiapers facebook page, and the oohs and ahhs just naturally came pouring out. We got this lovely email/travel story from gDad, James. Too awesome not to share:
Dear gDiapers team,
Thought you would want to know how well gDiapers work for young families on the move. We recently traveled from Lexington, KY to Charleston WV, Washington DC, Richmond VA, Baltimore, Burlington VT, Montreal, and Portland ME by plane, train, and automobile. Taking Amtrak was particularly enjoyable with our 2 month-old, Zeke. We discovered that the velcro on the outer cover of the gDiaper system stuck well to the carpeted train walls, aiding in drying damp diapers.

There isn’t a slideshow program yet created to artfully capture all 750 fan photos that were posted to our facebook wall in 2011. But we knew we needed to make this. We painstakingly trimmed down the amount of photos (often just by an issue of lighting or size) and squished them into this 6 minute video.
